Title:	Post Mortem Vanitas
Description:	(written by Lucas) Looking back at representations of vanity in art, both blatant and subtle, there are many things that tended to repeat themselves. In this piece I aimed to combine two types of vanity shown in Vanitas paintings and post Mortem photography. Vanitas paintings compared the passing of time to vanity through the use of rotting lemons. In contrast there is a sense of vanity in post Mortem photos where the dead are decorated with material goods. I combined these two symbols to create a bust that was showing off vanity in a subtle way questioning how we could still be vain even after death.
