| Title: | Unconscious Bloom |
| Description: | Unconscious Bloom captures the stream of thought that shapes my inner world. Although my mind cannot present me with clear images, my hands can, allowing me to translate near-visible thoughts into tangible form. The piece embodies my subconscious and the flow of my ideas. I incorporated many holes and divots in this piece in order to force the viewer to explore and feel the piece in order to truly understand it, just as I did in creating it. The large black eye connects to my motif of goldfish, as do the faint, bubble-encased scales, referencing the fact that my dreams constantly color my subconscious. In order to concretely represent this immaterial concept, I used ceramics due to its tactile nature. |
