C.A.Traen is an American sculptor born in 1980.
Through manipulating the figure as a study in activation of space, Traen explores perceptions of body self-image and reflections of society.
Traen earned degrees in Las Vegas where she made sculptural ceramics and developed the Rancho Ceramics Studio, a comprehensive career and technical ceramics program for underserved youth.
Traen has since relocated to Memphis, TN where she teaches ceramics at University of Memphis and now is building a studio gallery with a program of study for clay artists at all levels of experience and to enrich the local community with outreach programming.
Traen teaches, exhibits, and is collected in the US, Europe, and Asia.
