FOUNDER / PRESIDENT - By the honor of serving as president of k12clay, I do the work I prefer regardless of pay. This is a good thing since none of us here are paid a penny for our work. But we get to work with a great team which, over the last 33 years, has surpassed all early dreams. This foundation was created to support The National k-12 Ceramic Exhibition. Today we also have a scholarship fund. We created k12clay to showcase the best teaching and the best student work in the United States each year. Serving here leverages my 43 years as a classroom teacher, experience as a ceramic artist, potter and non-profit volunteer to inform our work together. We stage this national k-12 show annually while striving to make it permanent for students and teachers of the future.
